Today is my Birthday!

fb_img_1451286581479.jpgI woke up slowly, stirred and turned, then it gradually came  to me," baby girl,it is your birthday, you made it, you are successful" wow! A smile forms on my lips,my heart beats faster, I  feel beautiful , I feel joy,I say to myself " Well done!"

Quickly ,I checked my Facebook page, friends had started saying nice things, a particular one catches my eye" Awoniyi Oluwole" a friendship that had fostered on my latest job, i could not stop smiling." Oyinda,you have done well" I tell myself.

Sincerely, a few number believed in me, and those few i believe I did not give them the chance to believe in me,but today, because I learnt to love myself, I feel so loved.

I am grateful to God for everything, for every tear and very smile, I am grateful because I have my unique story, I am grateful because I am unique,my scars are unique,my victories are unique, my dreams and aspirations are unique, i have stopped being afraid of being unique. Eledumare, I am grateful.

My promise to myself:

  1. Be the best version of me.

  2. Keep to my plans and goals

  3. Remind myself that everyone is unique, hence allow them to be.

  4. I should not be scared  to live the life I want to live.

On my way to Work one morning, listening to an audio book, a statement pops at me "Success is achieving Set goals" Pondering on this, I realise teams are destroyed because we do not know how to manage success of teams when we achieve set goals.   A team is considered successful when set targets are met. A team would have gone through this cycle to become a performing team. Going back to the story, you know I am a salesperson, so I am constantly ploughing resources into Self-Motivation, being a Team Lead can be draining as you have to constantly motivate your team.
