MONEY! Money! Money!

We work so hard to make money in Nigeria, we work in deplorable conditions, take insults daily from foreigners whom heads are empty, we swallow insults, put our dignity in our pockets to just take any form of sh!t just because we want to earn money and give our kids the best.

As Nigerians, we work so hard at things we do not enjoy, we drag ourselves to work day after day just to make ends meet, times are changing we can enjoy our Profession and make money at it.

In Nigeria, everybody does the same thing, we are afraid to fail, Failure is painful, we do not have a safety net, we have weak plan B, no bail out, no social security, this stifles our thinking capacity as fear kills our real potential.

What do you enjoy doing the most?


Let me share a story,


As a sales team lead, I have met a huge array of people, some are different than I, some I dislike, some inspire me, but a major issue I have is that I am constantly misunderstood, I grew up being misunderstood, so I am timid in trying to express my views, I shy away from pushing my opinion too hard, yet each time I get appraised I am advised to bring down my passion a notch downwards. So I began to write, writing down my opinions on how I feel things should be done, I am not saying I am right, but this has helped me to manage my emotional Outbursts, I write about the evils in sales, the daily frustration of manging situations you have little control over, the constant betrayal of colleagues, customers, managers, Management. The constant feeling on insecurity around your loved ones when you pour your all at work and you are falling short at home either as a parent or a spouse. My blog "Crazy Sales Tips "is growing. My Passion is becoming a money spinner. Nothing is stupid.



 

I have a pretty Friend, she is so good with her makeup, Faired skin, hair nicely done, we were chatting at work after a Regional meeting, so I show off my blog to her, she was all praises and I nudge her to start a Beauty Blog, I would love to share her beauty tips on Crazy Sales Tips.


My current Sales team, we have a WhatsApp group chatroom, articles shared are inspiring, articles I would love to share on my LinkedIn profile.



 

We need more Brands and products in Nigeria. Shops are everywhere, but everyone is selling the same brands, we Sell every day, so why can't we apply our skills to manufacture and sell our own brands.

On my way to Work one morning, listening to an audio book, a statement pops at me "Success is achieving Set goals" Pondering on this, I realise teams are destroyed because we do not know how to manage success of teams when we achieve set goals.   A team is considered successful when set targets are met. A team would have gone through this cycle to become a performing team. Going back to the story, you know I am a salesperson, so I am constantly ploughing resources into Self-Motivation, being a Team Lead can be draining as you have to constantly motivate your team. Sales Jobs can seem to be weary behind closed doors, you get to a point and say to yourself "is this really worth the stress?"
